Practice

Practice. Life Style. Experience and Experimentation

"We are what we continually do; excellence then is not an act excellence is a habit."  Plato

"it is the task, not the employer, that is served" "the doing matters more than the attainment or reward"  Sherpa belief.  from The Snow Leopard by Peter Matthiessen

We bring value to what we do.

This is an attitude that would serve well for those wanting to learn a skill like Martial Arts, dive into the experience, swim in it.  It is the experience, not the teacher, not the belt or the title the experience changes us.  Some time take time learn some.

How do you want to move?  Begin moving in that way.

What are the benefits of having a teacher?  Teachers should be able to model a behavior show corrections and give motivation. We as students should be open to correction and bring our own creative thinking and critical eye to the process.

Learning is what this is about. Not practicing something fixed. Innovation is what we are after. Adaptability is key to what we do.

Spring

Spring is a wonderful time of renewal. Called to life by all living things. Birds nesting bees buzzing and flowers everywhere bring us back out of homes and into the fresh.

Daily walks in nature renew the body mind and spirit. Good Gung Fu.
